Michael Maduro is a barrister-at-law with extensive experience in litigation and regulatory matters within the British Virgin Islands. His practice encompasses complex civil and commercial disputes, regulatory proceedings, and matters requiring careful procedural and strategic oversight.

Mr. Maduro is recognized for his wide experience in structuring complex real estate development transactions. He specializes in property transactions for private clients and large commercial developments providing services in sales and structuring, mortgage-backed financing and loans, subdivisions, commercial and residential leases. He advises on and assists with applying for all governmental approvals and related tax matters. His practice also includes probate, succession and estate planning.

Mr. Maduro serves as Chairman of the Social Security Board Appeals Tribunal, appointed by the Ministry of Health and Social Development. In this capacity, he contributes to the fair and impartial determination of appeals, ensuring that the rights and interests of parties are considered in accordance with established legal principles.

​In addition to his courtroom practice, Mr. Maduro is a licensed court-connected mediator. His experience in both advocacy and adjudicative settings provides clients with counsel informed by a comprehensive understanding of dispute resolution processes within the Territory.

Mr. Maduro has acted for individual clients on general corporate and commercial matters, which range from company continuations or re-domiciliation, mergers and acquisitions and liquidation, administrative claims, personal injury, medical and professional malpractice.

​He is affiliated with local, regional, and international professional associations and is a member of the BVI Bar Association. His approach is measured and deliberate, offering clients steady guidance in complex and sensitive matters.
